In memory of the wonderful Len Hobbs Leg d’Hon who left us a short time ago.
In addition to his World War 2 military service, Len also donated much time and energy to The Normandy Veterans Association in Southend-on-Sea and, more recently, to The Spirit of Normandy Trust. In doing so he enabled current generations to appreciate the sacrifices of so many in armed conflict. He was a true friend to all of us at Eastgate Shopping Centre in Basildon, Essex, before my retirement four years ago, and his memory will live on there as elsewhere.
