Dan Barton and the team at Standing With Giants, who mounted such an impressive and moving display at the British Normandy Memorial last year have embarked on a new project and would value the involvement of WW2 veterans.
Standing with Giants is currently working on a new project to create a set of 10 to 16 life-size banners, which can be mounted on lampposts. These banners will feature WW2 veterans and civilians who were part of the VE Day celebrations, photographed in authentic uniforms hired from a London-based company who also supply the BBC.
The banners are a simple yet impactful way to decorate towns and cities while encouraging the celebration of VE Day. At present, we’re collaborating with Oxford City Council and plan to offer these banners to cities across the UK.
If, as a veteran or a civilian in WW2, you would be interested in taking part, please contact Dan and his team at info@standingwithgiants.co.uk
