The Normandy Memorial Wall Unveiling & Dedication – 6 June 2018

The attached leaflet sets out details of the Normandy Memorial Wall which will be unveiled at the D-Day Story (Formerly the D-Day Museum) Clarence Esplanade, Southsea Portsmouth PO5 3NT on 6th June.
For a minimum cost of £100 an engraved brick bearing a Normandy Campaign veteran’s name can be engraved on a brick. The proceeds after the cost of installation and maintenance will go towards an ongoing education programme, for not only schools but also for a wider audience.

D-Day Revisited – space available for Normandy 2018

D- Day revisited have spaces available for 2 veterans and 2 carers. The reason because of last minute cancellations

Details below
They have two coaches in Liverpool & Chester, doing pick-ups along the way in
Knutsford, Stafford and Oxford. Arrive into Portsmouth late afternoon on Saturday
2nd June to enjoy an evening at Southwick House. After an overnight at the Queen’s in
Southsea, we depart on the 1445 Brittany Ferries service out of Portsmouth on
Sunday 3rd.

The group includes
6 QA serving nurses in the group so have good, professional support.

This is an opportunity for veterans
veterans who may be left at home for want of availability.

D-Day Remembrance Services 2018

There will be a commemorative service at Colleville Montgomery at 1100 on 5th June, led by the Reverend Mandy Reynolds. This will be followed by a Vin d’honneur hosted by the Mayor on the sea front. The usual services will take place on 6th June at Bayeux Cathedral at 1000 and Military Cemetery at midday. The will also be a parade and service on the sea front of Arromanches at 4.00pm on the 6th.
